Document attestation is a process by which documents are authenticated for official use in another country. Documents can include both personal (birth or marriage certificate) or business documents (invoices or contracts). If the country is a party to the Hague convention, then the document would receive an apostille stamp.
Why legalise a document? Legalising documents help you work and live abroad. We can help you prepare your document for use in whichever country you wish. Our team has over fifteen years of experience working in offices all around the world, which means we have a great deal of knowledge of what is required to legalise your documents.
In order to use a document abroad, it must first be authenticated. This is done to prove its authenticity. Our team of professionals are able to turn around your documents in the quickest time possible.
Our specialist translators are able to translate documents into over 170 languages. They only translate into their mother tongue, which ensures that the level of translation is the highest possible level.
Some countries require a further step for the translation to be accepted as a genuine translation, this is usually notarisation or certification.
If your document requires certification by a solicitor, then we ensure that the UK Solicitor who certifies your document is registered with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO).
An apostille can be applied to almost all UK documents, which then allows them to be used in another country for various purposes. Our service starts from £65 (all fees included) per document and we aim to process in either 24 hours or 1-3 working days, depending on which service you purchase. Prior to the document being sent to the FCO, we check it is suitable for processing immediately or whether solicitor certification must be done first.
First, is you scanning the document to us and show the originals on a video call service (GRUVEO) or alternatively you send the documents to our office.
Secondly is the preparation of the document. We are able to certify, legalise, notarise or translate (as necessary) the document, then take them to the FCO for the apostille to be issued.
Finally is the return of the document. We return the document (copy or original) to you.
